The wait is over for CA Final candidates. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has released the CA Final admit card for November 2026 on its Self Service Portal at eservices.icai.org. The cards were made available by October 17, and the exams begin on November 2. With barely two weeks to go, students should download the hall ticket now and check every detail on it.

CA Final November 2026 exam dates

The CA Final exams will be held in pen-and-paper mode at designated centres. Group I runs across three days in the first week of November, followed by Group II in the second week. According to ICAI's examination notice, the exam dates will not change even if any of the days is declared a public holiday.

Paper 6 is the only open-book paper in the CA Final and runs for four hours, an hour longer than the rest. ICAI usually allows reading time before the exam begins, so candidates should plan to reach the centre well before the start time.

How to download the CA Final admit card

  1. Visit the ICAI Self Service Portal at eservices.icai.org.
  2. Log in with your registration number and password.
  3. Open the admit card section and select CA Final November 2026.
  4. Download the admit card PDF.
  5. Print it clearly. Keeping a spare printed copy is a good idea in case one gets damaged.

Check these details on your admit card

Once downloaded, go through the admit card carefully. Mistakes are rare, but they are much easier to fix now than on exam morning. Make sure the following are correct:

  • Your name and registration number
  • The group or groups you have applied for
  • The exam centre address
  • Medium of the exam and paper codes
  • Your photograph and signature

If your admit card shows as "withheld", this usually means a pending requirement in your training or course modules has not been cleared. Raise a ticket on the ICAI portal and write to the exam department with supporting proof as soon as possible. If your photograph or signature is not clear on the card, carry an attested photograph and signature along with a valid government photo ID to the centre.

What to carry and what not to carry

On each exam day, candidates must bring the printed admit card along with a valid government-issued photo ID. Mobile phones, smartwatches and other electronic gadgets are not allowed inside the exam hall. Only a non-programmable, battery-operated calculator that meets ICAI's rules is permitted. Students should also check their centre location a day or two before the first paper, especially in big cities where traffic can be unpredictable.

Last-minute preparation tips

  1. Revise from your own summary notes rather than starting new material.
  2. Practise at least one full-length mock paper under exam timing.
  3. For the open-book Paper 6, organise and tab your reference material in advance.
  4. Keep your admit card, ID and calculator in one folder the night before.
  5. Get enough sleep, especially in the gap days between papers.

What it means for students

The November attempt is one of the two big CA Final sittings of the year, and many candidates appear for both groups together. The CA Foundation and Intermediate exams for this cycle were held in September, so the Final is the last leg of this round. With the schedule now locked and admit cards out, students can plan revision days around the alternate-day pattern of the exams.

What happens next

Group I papers begin on November 2, and the last Group II paper is on November 13. ICAI will announce the result date separately after the exams. Candidates should keep checking the official ICAI website and their registered email for any notice about centres, timings or guidelines before exam day.
